Lipstick obsession

Right... At the moment i have a HUGEEE obsession with lipsticks.

Bobbi Brown just after christmas launched her nudes and neons collection. Brown smokey eyes with neon lipsticks. When I saw this I got my self down to the shops to see if any of the highstreet brands had picked up on this new trend for the spring.
Revlon and L'oreal had afew good colours in; Wild Orchid and Cassis Passion! Saw them, loved them, bought them!
Then on another day I was flicking through Bazaar and noticed an advert by YSL for a limited matt lipstick collection. By the time Id got my bum down to Debenhams in Lakeside they'd sold out. So as I normally do when I go into Debenhams, I started to wonder around the make up counters when I stopped at Chanel... Bright pink matt lipstick. One word, beautiful! I wear it all the time. Goes with everything, stays on forever and gives you a lil bit of a boost!

I recently have been working on afew short films. Both of which were period dramas, set in the 1st and 2nd world war.
This was my first time on a 'film set' and I absolutely loved it! The smell of foundation and minty fake blood at 4:30am, the cold wind on your face and the rain beating on the umbrella on set, the long hours and early starts... I know it all sounds absolutely awful and believe me Im a one for loving my bed, but it's all worth while. To get up to a job that you love, that you have a huge passion for is amazing. I'd want to kill my self if I had to do a 9-5 in an office.
Being on set is fun! You meet all different walks of life, who then become your life while filming. Mucking in, operating a smoke machine, driving the mini cooper down dirt tracks high to the ceiling with camera equipment or making dinner for 7 people!
Everything about it is awesome, fascinsting, incredible and surprising! I recommend this industry to anyone, and anyone trying to get into films... DO IT!

Hello everyone and welcome to my first ever blog!

I decided to join the world of blogging as my sister, an aspiring fashion stylist and photographer, told me about the wonders of it all!

My aim is to talk about the wonderful world that is MY world and talk about what that involves... MAKEUP! I am a makeup artist if you hadn't already guessed. Film is where I want to be, but anything that means I get to transform the face of someone and create an 'art' is what Im all about.
